Are you an experienced and forward-thinking internal audit professional with a passion for effecting change through your work? We are seeking an exceptional Internal Audit Manager to lead our dynamic team and drive transformative changes across our organisation, reporting directly to the Group Head of Internal Audit.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing audit team while driving innovation, including the development of a digital audit framework. Leverage technology to enhance data utilisation, generate insights, and improve audit efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Utilise your exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities to build strong relationships and ensure seamless collaboration across the organisation.
  • Lead and execute internal audit activities across diverse projects in Australia and North America, overseeing both inhouse and co-sourced audit teams to deliver comprehensive audit solutions.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Oversee the delivery of a diverse program of internal audits including identifying audit matters and agreeing appropriate actions with senior management
  • Reporting on audit matters to senior management in accordance with organisational processes and requirements
  • Development of the strategic Internal Audit Plan
  • Manage and support the performance and development of internal audit team members through regular coaching, feedback, and mentoring, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Collaborate with other assurance providers to ensure audits are executed with an integrated and enterprise view of risk and controls.
  • Assist in the preparation, execution and delivery of audit reports, audit committee papers and any other internal audit material
  • Develop trusted relationships at all levels across the business to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Promote and maintain a positive and transparent audit culture throughout the organisation


This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Technology, or a related discipline
  • Experience as a Manager or Senior Manager in a Big 4 CA firm and/or as an Internal Audit Manager in a leading and complex business
  • Strong people management experience
  • Proficiency in using technology-related internal audit capabilities, including data analytics and AI
  • Skills in managing complex projects, including the integration of advanced audit technologies
  • Proven communication and influencing abilities to build strong relationships with executives, senior management and internal/external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and the ability to facilitate timely and effective execution of audit programs
  • Experience in engaging stakeholders to ensure audit strategies align with business goals
