BOQ Group
Date: 22 hours ago
City: Melbourne, Victoria
Contract type: Full time

About The Role
Are you ready to lead risk management initiatives that make a real impact? BOQ Group is seeking a proactive and experienced Manager, Line 1 Risk to join our Transformation & Operations division working within the Finance division. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of embedding BOQ Group’s Risk Management Strategy and standards across the business, helping to shape a strong and proactive risk culture.
You’ll work closely with the leaders across Group Finance, as well as our Group Risk teams, to provide pragmatic risk advice, design and uplift controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. From managing risk profiles and performing risk-in-change assessments to delivering governance activities and mentoring analysts, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening our control environment and supporting the delivery of exceptional products and services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to BOQ Group’s transformation journey and help drive best-practice risk management across the organisation.
About You
You’re a confident and collaborative risk professional with proven experience in risk management—ideally within financial services or a related industry. You bring a strong understanding of non-financial risk, regulatory frameworks, and control design, and you’re comfortable working across complex environments.
You’re known for your analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to translate risk insights into clear, actionable advice. You’re also a natural communicator and mentor, capable of guiding others and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
A degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field would be advantageous, but certainly not a must-have. If you have professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CPA that too would be highly regarded. If you have domain expertise in Technology, Cybersecurity, or Financial Crime Operations, even better.
At BOQ Group, we value curiosity, leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. If you’re ready to take the next step in your risk career and help shape the future of banking, we’d love to hear from you.
