This is a Community Engagement Lead role with Co-Hive based in Alexandria, NSW, AU

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Full Intake & Transition Journey
You’ll manage the entire participant journey from first enquiry through to program commencement—ensuring each participant and their family feels welcomed, understood, and empowered.
- Respond to all enquiries and build strong rapport with families and referral networks
- Oversee participant recruitment, enrolment, documentation, and onboarding
- Understand NDIS budgets and coordinate Schedule of Supports
- Support NDIS plan reviews with timely and clear documentation
- Follow up leads, identify opportunities, and track enrolments
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure a consistent and high-quality intake process
- Represent Co-Hive’s values with warmth, empathy, and professionalism
Develop Relationships & Strengthen Partnerships
You’ll build trusted relationships across the Sydney disability sector to connect participants with meaningful opportunities and ensure their voices are heard.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with allied health providers, community organisations, schools, and local networks
- Support and involve participants in the co-design and co-delivery of community events
- Represent Co-Hive and its participants at expos, transition forums, and other external events
- Ensure participants are visible, engaged, and empowered in external-facing opportunities
Lead Events, Campaigns & Administration Team
You’ll lead the preparation, delivery, and follow-up for Co-Hive’s signature events and communications. You’ll also lead the administration team to ensure excellence in every interaction.
- Plan and lead Co-Hive Open Days and the annual Family & Carer Conference (pre, during, post-event)
- Ensure exceptional communication, logistics, and stakeholder follow-up for all events
- Lead a small administration team (on-site and offshore), ensuring efficient, accurate, and professional operations
- Provide direct leadership to the Admin Coordinator, ensuring all processes are completed to a high standard, inquiries are followed up, and social meetups are planned and promoted
- Set and uphold the tone of Co-Hive’s voice—warm, inclusive, responsive, and high-performing
Collaborate with Marketing & Communications
You’ll work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to help shape and strengthen Co-Hive’s community voice—online and offline.
- Act as the key contact for the Social Media Coordinator
- Represent the voice and branding of Co-Hive in all external messaging
- Contribute ideas to campaigns and support monthly strategy and analytics reviews
- Coordinate the monthly Buzz newsletter, celebrate participant stories, and track community impact
- Ensure the online presence reflects Co-Hive’s professionalism, purpose, and inclusivity
Be the Expert in Systems Navigation & Family Support
You’ll be the go-to person for supporting participants and families through the NDIS and other service systems.
- Provide expert, up-to-date guidance on NDIS reviews, documentation, and appeals
- Work closely with families to ensure they feel supported and informed
- Liaise across teams to ensure documentation aligns with participant goals
- Adapt to changes in the NDIS landscape and share updated practices across the organisation
