What You Will Do

We are looking for a skilled Senior Analyst – Client Managed Services – Business Services with experience for financial institutions. The role is based in Sydney with the Nasdaq Client Managed Services team (former Adenza).

  • Direct communication with cloud clients using Calypso modules for their daily activities: Front Office, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Accounting…
  • Investigate operational issues reported by Client’s users
  • Suggest how to resolve an issue and how to prevent its recurrence
  • Provide advice relating to Client implementation of Calypso
  • Following approval, make changes to functional configuration of the system
  • Check the execution (success, failures) of scheduled tasks
  • Supervise the exceptions related to real-time interfaces
  • Analyse & identify the root cause of failures/exceptions and detail the possible solutions
  • Proactively look for ways to improve customers usage of the application
  • In case of software defect, create helpdesk ticket including a test case that explains the issue; demonstrate the issue to Product Support team if needed
  • Coordinate for the deployment of a hotfix into a test environment
  • Perform pre-validation testing of hotfixes or config changes in Client’s test environment

What We Expect

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in finance (preferably), Mathematics, Business, Computer Science or I.T.
  • At least 2+ years' experience in the Capital Markets sector (Business Analyst, Operations)
  • Experience/knowledge with Calypso is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of a broad range of financial products (Fixed Income, Equity and Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, FX Spot and Forward, Corporate actions, Structured Products, Cash/Treasury, Futures and Options) including how they are priced, settled and handled during their lifecycle.
  • P&L reporting, including attribution and key concepts
  • Understanding of Risk, Pricing, analytics Front and Back-office reporting
  • Knowledgeable in Settlement processing, book structure, accounting, trade lifecycle events, collateral management and related static data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

What Would Be Helpful?

  • CFA, IMC or CISI qualified or other post graduate finance qualifications
  • Calypso knowledge would be a strong advantage (you will receive Calypso training and will be encouraged to pass your Calypso certification)
  • Other application knowledge e.g. Murex, Finastra (Summit, Kondor+), Aladdin, SimCorp
  • Proficiency using Bloomberg Terminal
  • Market data sources (e.g. Bloomberg SAPI, Data License)
  • Knowledge of 3rd party systems e.g. MarkIt, Omgeo, SWIFT, Acadiasoft
  • Knowledge of regulations impacting investment banks and asset managers
  • Advanced Excel skills

Our work arrangement is hybrid. You will be coming into the office at least 2 days per week.
