The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is responsible for end-to-end financial accounting, reporting, statutory compliance, inventory management and data analytics support. The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is responsible for end-to-end financial accounting, reporting, statutory compliance, inventory management and data analytics support. The role will suit a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close and reporting processes, including general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and review intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Oversee inventory valuations and fixed asset register maintenance.
- Draft and lodge statutory obligations, including BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT, and ABS reporting.
- Assist in preparing statutory financial accounts and company tax returns.
- Review and authorise supplier payments with correct cost allocation and GST treatment.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management processes.
- Contribute to data analytics projects and report building using Power BI.
- Support compliance with financial, safety, and quality management systems.
- Provide financial insights and assistance to operational and commercial teams.
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
- CPA/CA qualification (or working towards).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end financial reporting and statutory compliance.
- Strong Excel skills; Power BI and Pronto ERP experience advantageous, however not essential.
- Experience within a manufacturing or inventory-based business preferred, however open to candidates making their first move into industry also.
- Highly organised, methodical, and detail-oriented.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
