Our client is a large national business with over 100 years of expertise in their field, Australia wide. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic & motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join their team immediately, on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working within a close knit team, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties;
- Matching invoices with purchase orders
- High volume invoice processing
- Ensuring timely payments are made of supplier invoices via weekly and monthly payment runs
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
- Handling accounts payable queries in a timely and professional manner
- Setting up new suppliers
- Assisting with the reconciliations
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Ad hoc duties to assist the broader finance team
The Successful Applicant Will Have The Following Attributes
- Proven experience in a similar Accounts Payable role
- Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- High level time management skills & the ability to meet deadlines
- Prior experience using SAP or a similar large ERP system is highly advantageous
- Commence as soon as possible
- Office located close to home in Melbourne's Western suburb of Derrimut with onsite parking
- Supportive close knit team environment, with excellent training provided
