Role Description
We’re looking for a Project Director to oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple Industrial and Commercial projects, as well as help facilitate the further growth and expansion of the sector within Melbourne.
Industrial & Commercial projects are highly complex by nature, so your ability to work in high-pressure environments will be critical to your success.
Located in our Melbourne CBD office, you’ll be responsible for:
- Feasibility studies, scoping of works and project initiation with clients.
- Overseeing design and tender phases, including appointing contractors and consultants.
- Overseeing the delivery of construction works – with a heavy focus on contract management responsibilities.
- As a minor component to the role, assist with business development initiatives, helping to secure new work and future opportunities for RP Infrastructure.
- Fostering relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports as required.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you’ll need demonstrated experience delivering complex building projects within the Commercial, Industrial, or similarly-related fields.
You’ll also need:
- The ability to understand ‘the big picture’ of what our clients are trying to achieve with their projects, including an ability to prioritise actions between key stakeholders accordingly (developers, builders, tenants, clients etc).
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
- Experience with design and construction phases of projects, ideally within the Industrial, Commercial, Health or other related sectors.
- Ideally, demonstrated connectivity within the Industrial and/or Commercial construction sectors would be highly advantageous (but not essential).
- Experience with a Builder, Developer or Consultancy would be suitable for a role of this nature.
- High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
- A willingness to work with team members and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
- Qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
What’s In It For You
This role is a huge opportunity for someone looking to either step into their first Project Director role, or for an established Project Director who is ready to take on complex challenges in a fast-paced, exciting sector.
No two days will be the same, with ongoing projects, growth and challenges to sink your teeth into.
As a Project Director at RPI, you’ll also receive:
- The ability to broaden your project expertise – we offer a range of projects across multiple sectors, giving you access to the full Infrastructure spectrum.
- Phenomenal support from our talented leadership team – you’ll play an integral part in shaping the further development of our business.
- A hybrid working environment, with high levels of autonomy and flexibility. Work in a way that best suits you!
- Ongoing career development and continuous progression opportunities. Upon joining RPI, you’ll receive your own tailored Professional Development Plan, as well as a senior mentor to help you reach your next career goals.
- A strong, supportive management team that cares about you. We’re passionate about what we do, and we’re proud to prioritise the development of our staff.
- Access to events, activities and initiatives driven by our popular Health & Wellbeing + Diversity & Inclusion committees (think: trips to Luna Park, AFL matches, the Australian Open, team dinners/drinks, games nights, bowling, boat parties and much more!)
