Public Sector People are working with Q-Build a government organisation within Brisbane who are seeking an A04 Recruitment & Engagement Officer on a temp position until June 2026 + extension.

As the Recruitment & Engagement Advisor you will assist in the implementation of contemporary, innovative, and transparent recruitment processes and procedures, to ensure the recruitment of QBuild staff is managed smoothly and sensitively, with consideration to QBuild’s goal to have a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Undertake all recruitment processes, including processing of requests to hire, advertising, shortlisting, and assessing candidates, scheduling, and attending interviews and managing onboarding processes for a diverse range of blue- and white-collar workforce.
  • Assist with day-to-day administration of people-related data including gathering and sourcing information for analysis, complete analysis and produce reports as requested.
  • Develop and administer systems that ensure the integrity and confidentiality of HR information and candidate documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding activities and processes related to inducting new starters including event coordination and maintaining accurate training records.

About you:

  • A solid background in recruitment with experience in providing advice on workforce management policies and practices, coordinating recruitment, and analysis of workforce data
  • Experience in working in a Human resources including advising, coaching, and facilitating.
  • Great interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and experience in preparing and reviewing workforce business cases.
