The Situation

We’re currently recruiting for a Human Resources Advisor to join a well-established mining organisation supporting operations across a key Queensland project. Offered on a permanent 8:6 FIFO roster from Brisbane, this is your chance to work on the ground, partner with experienced leaders, and grow your HR impact in a practical, high-performing team.

You’ll report into the HR Manager on site, working closely with the Project Manager and corporate team to support workforce needs across ER/IR, recruitment, and day-to-day people matters.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide on-site HR advice and support to leaders and supervisors
• Assist with ER/IR matters including investigations, disciplinary processes, and award interpretation
• Support recruitment and onboarding, partnering with the Head Office Talent team
• Drive consistency in HR systems, processes and compliance
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation
• Contribute to workforce engagement and culture initiatives
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• HR experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry
• Working knowledge of IR/ER and HR compliance (e.g. Fair Work, Black Coal Award)
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence onsite stakeholders
• Tertiary qualification in HR or related field (required)
