Position Title: Legal Secretary

Location: Sydney Head Office, Millers Point NSW

Employment: Part-Time, 2 days per week

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing pro-active, effective and timely administrative and systems support to internal stakeholders across ANZ.
  • Identify, define and resolve problems in relation to the Legal function as they arise.
  • Improve the operational quality and effectiveness of the Legal function.
  • Plan, monitor and achieve functional goals within the prescribed timeframe.
  • Co-ordinate and manage corporate secretarial documents and filings for the ANZ business entities.
  • Act as the first point of contact on behalf of the Legal team, and triage accordingly.


The ideal candidate for this role is;

(i). Extensive experience working as a Legal Secretary for an in-house Legal team, or within a Legal firm., or;

(ii). A law student currently undertaking their degree.


The minimum qualifications and experience for this role are:

  • NSW Law Society Legal Secretary training (equivalent experience will be considered) or 10+ years working as a Legal Secretary in a private law firm.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work from a customer (both internal and external) perspective to ensure customer satisfaction, by adoption a solutions focused mindset.
  • Assertive, tenacious and resilient approach with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or appropriate Visa holder).
