The Role
Your role is key in transforming epics into viable outcomes, developing testing service offerings and championing best practice test tooling, planning, and methodologies across complex software systems, platforms, applications and phases.
Your knowledge in planning, enterprise architecture and IT strategy, and experience working within large-scale IT enablement teams are critical to success in this role.

What You'll Do
Product & Technology - Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstra's software and IT systems, working on some really cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities
As a Senior IT Test Specialist, you apply a breadth of experience and technical know-how in the Software Testing Domain to:
- Oversee the delivery of compliant, repeatable and measurable test processes that enable the validation of multiple software technologies, platforms, solutions and capabilities
- Lead audit software quality assurance across projects, manage testing lifecycle components of complex software engineering solutions, and define best practice testing methodologies and standards
- Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives by applying a continuous learning and development mindset to your work, using tried and tested methodologies but also finding opportunities to experiment to incrementally improve over time
- Authentically engage with and effectively influence a diverse, multi-stakeholder landscape to drive outcomes across different phases of the project and testing lifecycle, aligned to team/mission objectives
- Identify and resolve challenges by gathering relevant sources of information (including input from other stakeholders), generating insights and applying analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions to complex problems that don't have an immediate or 'tried and tested' solutions
- Act as an escalation point for any major testing risks or issues, providing guidance and advice to other team members to resolve problems as required
- Lead the transformation of IT test strategies into documented test requirements and phases that deliver the required capabilities and outcomes
- Take ownership for embedding agile ways of working within your team, and providing support and guidance to more junior team members, enabling them to deliver on their objective
