Application Engineer WSS

Xylem is looking for an Application Engineer at our Perth Location. The Application Engineer serves as a subject matter expert in dewatering, providing technical support, product training, industry insights, and guidance to sales and service teams, as well as to customers and consultants.

The Position

• Evaluate insights from industry bodies, WSS factories, and sales/service teams to recommend optimal product placement and applications tailored to customer needs.
• Collaborate with product managers, project managers, bid managers, and design engineers for seamless project delivery.
• Support and implement product and technology initiatives, go-to-market strategies, digital marketing, competitor analysis, supply chain, and distribution planning to drive Xylem’s growth.
• Assist in preparing and managing projects and tenders, ensuring technical accuracy and client alignment.
• Facilitate effective training programs for staff and customers.
• Develop sales support tools such as quotation templates, selection tools, and accessory matrices to enhance sales and service productivity
• Identify and drive continuous improvement across the Select, Configure, Price & Quote (SCPQ) journey for WSS product lines
• Contribute to effective pricing strategies through analysis of sales data, market trends, quoting behaviour, and stocking requirements for products, spare parts, and accessories
• Collaborate with consultants, customers, and internal teams to support product adoption and sales in target markets
• Assist in coordinating new product launches and creating sales promotional materials
• Support initiatives to improve Quality Assurance and Environmental Health & Safety in line with company goals
  
  

About You

• Seeking a motivated individual with strong strategic thinking and market analysis skills, able to align plans with business goals (Engineering, Marketing, or Business degree highly desirable).
• Minimum 5 years’ industry experience, ideally in product management, sales support, or dewatering operations.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across business functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
