About The Role

Our Tech Hub team is expanding and we’re looking for a Learning & Development Generalist to join our vast community of solvers. The Tech Hub team brings our purpose to life by enabling our company’s businesses to achieve their technology-driven goals. The work undertaken in Tech Hub covers a range of areas from leading and supporting the company through to the build or adoption of new technology, to protecting against risk, and delivering valuable data insights that transform our technology capabilities.

The learning and development team is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for employees within an organisation. Their main goal is to improve the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees to enhance their skills,

productivity and effectiveness in their roles.

As a Learning & Development Generalist you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging and effective learning materials. You will be involved in working closely with subject matter experts to design and develop learning content.

You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:

  • Demonstrating experience as a learning and development professional
  • Demonstrating experience in designing learning programs and methodologies
  • Providing strong knowledge of learning tools, learning performance evaluation and feedback mechanisms
  • Demonstrating knowledge of change management approaches and Agile delivery framework
  • Demonstrating excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Providing advice to others as a technical expert who uses your specialised skills
  • Solving more complex task problems leveraging basic experience, analysis, specific guidance provided and judgement
  • Providing daily direction and supervision for more junior members of the team (if applicable)
  • Planning priorities for the year and manage your own responsibilities and workload based on direction
  • Completing bigger tasks with direct contribution to large projects and/or lead small scale improvements


In our Tech Hub team, your impact will be seen by:

  • Organising learning events including logistics and co-ordinate schedules with other L&D or professional development teams
  • Designing, delivering and evolving comprehensive learning programs and documentation, ensuring learning needs and material are translated into clear and measurable learning objectives
  • Researching and curating relevant material, reliable resources and updating self-knowledge of the relevant field to support designing and delivering new material
  • Building and designing high level quality training documentation for the intended audience, including digital learning assets in different modalities and apply a variety of visualisation techniques to design content
  • Delivering, engaging, detailed and high quality instructional learning events in live and virtual environments
  • Evaluating, monitoring and reporting on evidence of learning effectiveness
  • Analysing digital tools and practices to structure learning approaches
