Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital

You will be responsible for the overall efficient functioning of the kitchen, specifically in the areas of delivery of service, clearing and assisting with the plating of meals and cleaning of all areas associated with Food Services

The Position

  • To assist other members of the Food Service staff in providing a high level of quality in both product and service to all customers, ie. Patients, staff and others.
  • Work within the regulations as stated in the Food Act.
  • Control the day-to-day menu collection and production summaries to ensure smooth running of all procedures.
  • Assist in training of other staff within the Catering Department and have a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Carries out safe food handling techniques in relation to purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation and delivery.
  • To order, monitor and maintain stock levels as required and within budget criteria.
  • Efficient use of resources including monitoring of wastage

You will have minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar role and current Food Handlers Certificate.

To be successful, you will demonstrate communication skills and the ability to relate well with other people. Previous catering experience and Cert III in Health Care Services or working towards is desirable.

  • Salary: $34.33 to $35.38 per hour (casual loading included) plus 12% superannuation
