We are seeking a Finance Business Partner and help drive commercial performance, financial rigour, and strategic insight across one of Australia’s most recognised brands.

For this newly created position we’re looking for a commercially minded finance professional to partner closely with Franchisees, State and National Franchise teams, and our internal Finance group. You’ll play a critical role in managing franchise financial reporting, delivering commercial analysis, and leading improvements that support the ongoing success of our Franchise network.


Key Responsibilities


Commercial Support

  • Provide financial insights & guidance for sales and profitability
  • Support pricing reviews and capital evaluations
  • Manage requests from the HJs Franchise Board
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and Franchisees.


Financial Reporting & Insights

  • Consolidate and deliver monthly Franchisee P&Ls with commentary
  • Report on Franchisee balance sheets and debt positions (biannually)
  • Prepare and distribute benchmarking reports
  • Present insights at State Franchise meetings and reviews
  • Deliver tailored reporting for Franchisees and stakeholders


Financial Control & Compliance

  • Oversee franchise invoicing (royalties, rebates, rents, tech charges)
  • Reconcile and true-up Tech Stack and rent charges to franchisees
  • Support debtor management and balance sheet reconciliations


Process Improvement

  • Establish and embed franchisee financial submission process
  • Document and streamline key finance processes
  • Support implementation and ongoing optimisation of Franchise Management Software


Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Collaborate with FP&A on budgets and forecasts for franchise-related areas
  • Deliver accurate and data-backed planning inputs


Our ideal candidate is ;

  • A finance professional with experience in financial control, and analysis
  • Excellent at building relationships and influencing decision-makers
  • Experience in modelling and analysis (heavy excel focus but other tools also used)
  • Detail-driven, process-savvy, and solution-focused
  • Experience in franchising or multi-site retail (preferred)
  • CPA or CA qualified
