About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Practice Assistant to join our M&A Competition team and provide additional support to our four Partners - Wayne Leach, Christopher Kok, Luke Woodward, and Jennifer Barron, and their friendly teams.
The role is being offered on a part-time, permanent basis working 3 days per week. Coverage will be required on Thursdays and Fridays, with a preference for Monday or Tuesday as the third day. You'll work closely and job share with two other Practice Assistants within the group and have the chance to thrive in an environment that values your initiative and proactive thinking.
The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining client and internal relationships
- Arranging internal and external meetings, including diary management
- Organising and overseeing travel arrangements (both domestic and international)
- Managing billing, expense management and reporting processes
- Coordinating and managing the setup of various events
- Matter management including opening and closing files, archiving, electronic filing, and physical filing
- Other general administrative tasks as required

About You
- Minimum of 3 years in a legal support role (such as Legal Assistant, Practice Assistant, Legal Executive or Legal Secretary)
- Sound knowledge of the monthly billing process in a legal environment - experience with Elite highly regarded
- Typing speed of 70+ wpm
- Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyse, problem solve and apply appropriate use of judgement
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
