The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager of Operations to join our AMA Collison team, based in Melbourne or Brisbane.

This is a permanent full-time hybrid role, with regular interstate travel and you will be provided with opportunities for growth, stability, and security as part of the bigger AMA Group.

As the General Manager of Operations, you will take the lead in shaping the future of our 70 AMA Collision production sites. Reporting into our Executive General Manager, you will drive performance, efficiency, and sustainable growth across our national network.

We're looking for a multi-site experienced, high-impact strategic leader to deliver operational excellence, implement scalable systems and processes, and use data-driven insights to boost ROI and customer outcomes. You’ll also oversee the integration of acquisitions, infrastructure investment, and budget management, while fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and customer focus. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute national operational strategies aligned with growth, revenue, and profitability goals.
• Scale and optimise performance across a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed network.
• Develop and embed standardised, scalable systems and processes to enable long-term success.
• Manage budgets, maximise ROI, and leverage data to drive critical business decisions.
• Oversee integration of new acquisitions and lead investment in infrastructure improvements.
• Cultivate a culture of safety, accountability, and customer focus across all sites.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, strategic partners, and internal stakeholders.

About You

• Proven leader of large, multi-site operations in a service-led automotive environment.
• Track record of delivering results at scale and leading major transformation.
• Strong financial acumen and P&L ownership.
• Resilient, commercially sharp, and people-first in your leadership approach.
• 10+ years in senior operational roles, ideally with a relevant tertiary qualification.
