The Principal Analyst will play a pivot role in leading and supporting key strategic projects across Fortescue.

The Principal Analyst will play a pivot role in leading and supporting key strategic projects across Fortescue.
Key Responsibilities
- Project framing: Understand the problem that needs to be solved and develop an analytical approach and workplan to solve the given problem
- Market intelligence: Gather and analysis industry trends, competitive dynamics and customer demand to understand risks and opportunities for Fortescue
- Internal assessment: Analyse Fortescue’s internal costs and capabilities to identify opportunities to drive revenue or cost improvements
- Stakeholder engagement: Work with leaders, experts and external stakeholders to collect information, test ideas and jointly develop recommendations
- Strategy formulation: Define strategic options and development recommendations for the leadership team to endorse
- Project management: Manage project progress against the initial plan including keeping key stakeholders accountable and identifying risks and potential mitigants.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related field
- 4 + years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business analysis or commercial roles or related fields
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to write clearly and concisely strong writing skills
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to effectively operate across multiple areas with a broad range of stakeholders.
