Date: 12 hours ago
City: Brisbane, Queensland
Contract type: Full time

Your Role

Are you a marketing maestro, or just mar-curious, and someone who oozes creativity? Do you speak fluent meme and dream in nerdy puns? Good, because at Megaport we don’t just do marketing - we live and breathe it, injecting our quirky brand and techy creativity into every pixel and punchline.

We’re not your average corporate gig either; you won’t find any beige cubicles and “synergy” buzzwords here. We’re a globally distributed squad of tech-obsessed, boundary-pushing innovators on a mission to revolutionise how the world connects. We’re on the hunt for an energetic Marketing Coordinator who can dive head-first into our fast-paced, fun-loving world and amplify our brand’s presence across the digital universe.

This is your chance to unleash your inner nerd, let your ideas and creativity run wild, and work for a Brisbane-based global success story. Your role will be a supporting role for our global marketing organisation. You’ll be exposed to all of the sub-disciplines of marketing and in a position to learn from the best.

About Megaport

We’re not your typical tech company – and we don’t want to be. Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 350 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun.

Our Team Culture

We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work across time zones to execute on our global vision, trust each other to get things done, and never compromise our values for commercial gain. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do.

What You’ll Be Doing (a.k.a. your Quest Log)

  • Take existing global strategies and dream up bold, original ideas, delivering unique campaigns that support marketing activities and commercial teams.
  • Own our social media presence. Use a data-driven approach to maximise awareness and engagement with our brand.
  • Collaborate with tech influencers both internally and externally to maintain our brand's top-of-mind presence in the network engineering industry.
  • Support the regional marketing teams (Asia Pacific, Europe, Americas) on campaign activities.
  • Collaborate with marketers, developers, salespeople, and product teams to make sure your campaigns deliver the best possible results.
  • Bring a fresh perspective and creative ideas, and challenge us to raise the bar on our initiatives.
  • Assist in managing our swag and supplier relationships; help push the envelope to keep our brand cool and well-regarded in the industry.
  • Support the wider marketing team through administrative tasks as required.

What We Require (a.k.a. your Power Ups)

  • You are an “all-rounder” marketer. You might not be an expert in any one thing, but you’ve dabbled in lots of areas and enjoy trying new things
  • You can learn quickly and are curious.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in a professional marketing role, or have worked as a marketing rockstar on an impressive 1+ year project that would blow our socks off.
  • You are highly organised. You can use tools like Jira, Asana, Monday.com to stay on top of a changing workload.
  • You have the ability to turn a campaign brief into a real-life campaign.
  • You’re able to think both laterally and logically. You should be able to come up with several creative ideas and then eliminate the ones that won’t work the best.
  • You are a good communicator. You know how to talk about your work, and take feedback.
  • You have a good attention to detail. If your resume is entirely black and white, you will not get an interview. We like colours at Megaport.
  • You have team player energy. You enjoy working in collaborative environments and bring curiosity, energy, and excitement to shared projects.
  • You have managed social media channels and are enthusiastic about using social media to help build B2B communities.

The following aren’t required but are nice to have (a.k.a. your Bonus Points)

  • You have experience working in a B2B marketing organisation.
  • You have basic HTML/CSS skills.
  • Experience using Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva to assemble campaign assets.
