The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking skilled and service-oriented Baristas and Head Baristas to join the APH Catering and Events team at Australian Parliament House.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced hospitality professionals who are passionate about coffee and committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
To be successful in these roles, you will demonstrate:
- For Baristas: At least two years’ experience preparing and serving high-quality coffee, with a strong understanding of coffee equipment and brewing techniques
- For Head Baristas: A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to train and support a team
- A strong customer service focus, with the ability to engage professionally and courteously with a wide range of stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including HACCP requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team

Job Specific Requirements:
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate. If not currently held, this certificate must be obtained and be maintained.
- Qualifications in hospitality or retail catering are highly desirable, showcasing your dedication to the industry are highly desirable.
- The occupant of this position must be willing to work according to a roster and work overtime if required. Penalty and overtime rates apply.
- The occupant of this position is required to wear a uniform as directed and present in a professional manner at all times when on duty.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
