Senior API Developer – NV1 Clearance

We are seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared API Developer to join a high-performing project team within a federal government environment. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting secure APIs and integrations across Azure-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust RESTful APIs using C# in a cloud-native environment.
• Implement API security and authentication using industry standards such as OAuth and JWT.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure integration and interoperability across systems.
• Use CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps) to support automated builds and deployments.
• Conduct API testing and support quality assurance activities.
• Maintain and enhance API documentation, monitoring, and support practices.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-trust development environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a software developer with strong C# programming skills.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration best practices.
• Experience with Azure services including App Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
• Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT) and API security.
• Practical experience with API testing tools and methodologies.
• Proficient in working with relational databases and common integration patterns.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Desirable Skills

• Understanding of GraphQL, SOAP, and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to tools and platforms such as Micro Focus Fortify, SailPoint, ServiceNow, or AWS.
• Ability to work in agile environments with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
