As Site Manager at a prestigious private school based in Parramatta, you will be pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of our garden maintenance contract. You will oversee all aspects of site operations, including scheduling, resource management, client communication, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
You are a qualified horticulturist with a strong background working across high quality garden sites.
You have, or are willing to obtain, a valid white card and working with children check. You are also prepared to undertake a national police check - this is an absolute requirement given the nature of this site.
You are computer literate and have excellent organisational skills.
You have previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role where you have proven yourself to be able to motivate and develop your team members to get the best out of them. This role will have responsibility for performance management of staff and also ensuring successful training of apprentices.
Above all, you have a can-do attitude and thrive under pressure - no two days will be the same in this fast paced role.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team, providing guidance and support to ensure the needs of the client are met efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee all facets of high-quality garden maintenance programs on site by planning and scheduling activities, including planting, high detail pruning, hedging, fertilising, and pest control, following client specifications and seasonal requirements.
- Conduct site assessments to identify maintenance needs, develop work plans, and estimate resource requirements.
- Implement a turf program for seasonal weeds within turf.
- Communicate effectively with the client to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide recommendations for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and health of their gardens.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring availability and proper maintenance to support operational activities.
- Provide monthly reporting to management
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
