Description
As Payroll Lead, you'll lead the end-to-end payroll function across a multi-site workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the HR Director and working closely with People Capability and Finance teams, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless and person-centred payroll service:
- Manage all aspects of payroll processing for 650 employees fortnightly
- Lead payroll system configuration and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, superannuation, and tax obligations
- Provide payroll data analysis, KPI reporting, and budget impact assessments
- Respond to internal and external payroll queries with professionalism and care
- Supervise and support payroll staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate entitlements and reporting
- Contribute to organisational projects, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Profile
- Senior Payroll Officer looking to take the step up into leadership, or an experienced payroll leader looking to join a purpose driven organisation
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and Australian payroll legislation.
- Experience in managing end-to-end payroll processes.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR and Finance teams.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
