Description

As Payroll Lead, you'll lead the end-to-end payroll function across a multi-site workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the HR Director and working closely with People Capability and Finance teams, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless and person-centred payroll service:

  • Manage all aspects of payroll processing for 650 employees fortnightly
  • Lead payroll system configuration and recommend improvements
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, superannuation, and tax obligations
  • Provide payroll data analysis, KPI reporting, and budget impact assessments
  • Respond to internal and external payroll queries with professionalism and care
  • Supervise and support payroll staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate entitlements and reporting
  • Contribute to organisational projects, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

Profile

  • Senior Payroll Officer looking to take the step up into leadership, or an experienced payroll leader looking to join a purpose driven organisation
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and Australian payroll legislation.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end payroll processes.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with HR and Finance teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
