Public Sector People are working with a council on Sydney's North Shore who are searching for a People Experience Officer to join their P&C team.

You’ll be the go-to person for employee enquiries, help to keep the HR systems running smoothly, and play a key role in shaping a positive employee experience across Council.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, ensuring prompt, professional, and friendly support.
  • Manage employment lifecycle processes (onboarding, contract variations, parental leave, resignations).
  • Maintain and update HR systems with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate internal communications about staff movements and people-related updates.
  • Support workforce reporting, employee engagement activities, and wellbeing initiatives.

About You

  • Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience using HR information systems and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent internal customer service with empathy and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and managing employee data.
  • Local government experience highly desirable
  • Experience using Authority system highly desirable
