We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Melbourne Insurance team to cover parental leave for an initial 7-month period.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to work in our Melbourne Insurance Law practice. Supporting a busy team, you will display a willingness to learn and have experience in either litigation or insurance from within a fast-paced law practice group.

You will be regarded as an integral member who will provide superior administrative support and a variety of ad-hoc duties.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Opening and closing of files
  • Preparing legal documents
  • Online court filing
  • Billing
  • File management
  • Diary management
  • Preparation and reconciliation of expenses
  • Client liaison and management
  • PA duties as required

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have Legal/Personal Assistant experience with excellent communication and diary management skills, with a client service focus. You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting, and have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, and have exceptional attention to detail. A professional outlook, backed by a great sense of humour would see you fit in well with the team. The core office hours are 8.30am to 5pm.
