Australian Computer Society (ACS) are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our Migration Pathways team. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing our compliance and quality assurance frameworks, supporting skilled migration programs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Operating within a dynamic and purpose-driven environment, you will be responsible for audits, risk management, and regulatory reporting, while building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This role is suited to professionals with proven experience in compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory operations who are ready to take ownership and drive continuous improvement.
This role is fixed term for 12 months as a parental leave cover.

Australian Computer Society (ACS) are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our Migration Pathways team. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing our compliance and quality assurance frameworks, supporting skilled migration programs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
- Support quality assurance activities, including audits, site visits, inspections, investigations, reviews and accreditation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of education providers, host employers, agents, internships, and internal teams to promote skilled IT employment and service delivery.
- Assist with audit preparation, scheduling, evidence collection, report writing, and invoicing.
- Participate in risk assessments, and maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, databases, and registers to support compliance initiatives.
- Monitor non-conformance, remediation activities, and drive continuous improvement, escalating issues when necessary.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams and external partners, fostering collaboration and risk mitigation.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders, promoting quality assurance processes and enhancing service delivery capabilities.
- Deliver person-centred service to students and migrating professionals, supporting their career aspirations.
- Prioritise, investigate, and resolve concerns raised by students and partners, escalating issues when needed.
- Participate in stakeholder events such as webinars, forums, and training programs, and represent the organisation at industry events, webinars, and graduations.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in compliance, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within a complex or regulated environment.
- Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and exercise sound professional judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- High standards of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Flexibility to travel at short notice and attend the Melbourne office regularly.
