This Solution Architect role is responsible for the technical authority of the architecture design, pre and post-sales support of our offering across the Microgrid Segment.

You will utilize your experience in our products to develop a complete solution - presenting proposals to prospects through engaging demonstrations or other visual media either face to face or delivered via the web, along with detailed written descriptions of our product features.

Your domain knowledge, product experience and relationship-building skills will enable your success in this role, and recognition at the most senior levels of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide the Technical Governance and the Technical Authority for all Microgrid opportunities. This includes technical sign-off, risk assessments, GAP analysis and line-by-line compliances for all major Microgrid opportunities.
  • Provide direction and leadership on the development of your skills and competencies to be that Trusted Advisor. Provide coaching and mentoring of Local System Architects to help drive sales and deliver business value.
  • Provide engineering leadership and apply the System Architect methodology to design and promote robust, secure, scalable and innovative solutions that deliver technical advantage and business value.
  • Lead global technical communities, providing a proactive contribution to ensure we lead technical innovation, share best practices and accelerate learning of our members.
  • To provide the technical presales support and proof of concepts and product/solution demonstrations.
  • Assist in the creation of technical notes, lessons learned, white papers, prescription and specification documents and make them globally available.
  • To collaborate, influence new offers with R&D & Offer Management.

Key Sales Responsibilities:

 

  • Act as the central coordination point for Microgrid business development across regions, aligning support from internal stakeholders and strategic partners.
  • Identify and lead strategic opportunities across countries, ensuring alignment with long-term growth objectives and securing appropriate technical and commercial support.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the commercial community to elevate regional maturity and drive consistent success.
  • Support strategic partnerships and innovative Go-To-Market models, particularly in Energy as a Service.
  • Contribute to market intelligence and offer positioning by identifying key differentiators and tracking regulatory and market trends.

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Strong technical background with at least 5 years’ experience on the deployment of Microgrid systems or Distributed Energy Resources (DERs).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the infrastructure and architectures of OT and IT systems.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, networking, and security technologies in on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Passionate about learning and staying up to date with the latest technologies.
  • Good level of understanding of energy systems including solar PV, battery energy storage, EV charging infrastructure, power distribution, and energy management software.
  • BEng, BSc in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Have a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and customer oriented.
  • Ability to work well individually and in a highly collaborative, multi-site multi-cultural team.
