We are currently recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer with 8 + years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The role involves a variety of project and services-based work, focused on automation systems and solutions, primarily in the Water, Manufacturing and Infrastructure industries.

We are looking for someone with passion and drive who will be responsible for:

  • Design, development, commissioning, testing and support of electrical and automation systems
  • Learning from more experienced engineers whilst executing on project tasks
  • Consistently meeting predefined project and engineering targets
  • Contributing to the development of best practice methodologies, software, systems, procedures and uptake of the latest technologies.

Ideal Profile

The Successful Applicant Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, a related field or 8+ years industry experience
  • Demonstrable experience applying an engineering approach to problem solving
  • Mature technology skillset, code development skills and methodologies (exposure to IEC 61131-3 Programming Languages an asset)
  • Proficient in Siemens PLC development using TIA Portal
  • Experience in the design, configuration, and development of WinCC OA.
  • Strong understanding of control system architecture
  • Competence in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, I/O schedules, and network diagrams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively, both autonomously and within a team
  • Initiative and a positive attitude towards continuous improvement & self-development.

Skills Preferred

  • Mature PLC coding methodology
  • Mature SCADA design methodology
  • Mature Process Improvement Capability
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and serial communications
  • Ability to execute and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
  • Familiarity with testing tools, simulation environments, and diagnostic platforms for PLC and SCADA systems

This position is based in Australia, and we are specifically looking for an Irish Control Systems Engineer.
