The Role

Due to growth and the desire to continuously improve, our Supply Chain team at HCL are on the lookout for a Distribution Centre Manager with an ability to motivate, inspire and bring people together to achieve a common goal to join our team.


Reporting to the Head of Operations and based in WA, you will manage all site operations to meet the service requirements and maintain a safe working environment.


As such your proven leadership skills and experience in the control of all things operational including but not limited to receipt, storage and distribution of finished products in a 3PL and 4PL environment, will be critical to your success. Experience in SAP WM and QMS systems will be an advantage.

What you will do:

  • Lead, motivate and manage all site staff;
  • Identify and implement CI improvements;
  • Develop and report KPI’s to set targets to be achieved;
  • Maintain and develop processes that are efficient and quality compliant;
  • Responsible for WHS;
  • Regular meetings;
  • Develop and maintain functional working relationships with: General Manager, Head of Operations, Head of QA, Commercial Manager, Key Account Managers and BD Manager;
  • Involvement in the development of CAPEX and OPEX plans.


What we are looking for:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in wholesaling medicines/poisons with ability to assess if a client is authorised to purchase medicines/poisons and able to comply with record-keeping requirements;
  • Warehouse/inventory experience/ Supply Chain and Logistics Management;
  • Ability to demonstrate consistent leadership experience;
  • Background in ERP environment, experience in WMS, RF technology and working knowledge of WMS systems;
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 and cGMP TGA requirements;
  • Knowledge of Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Regulations;
  • Understanding of inventory traceability and document control requirements is essential.
