Reporting to the Principal Engineer and supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you’ll thrive in a role that offers both variety and meaningful challenges.

Although predominantly office-based, the role provides opportunities to travel to site as needed, enhancing your understanding of project execution while contributing to technically rewarding and diverse projects.

Primary Duties

  • Adhere to Australian standards and site safety protocols across all project activities.
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve smooth project execution.
  • Develop and deliver tailored control system solutions for mineral processing projects.
  • Develop system architecture and functional specification technical documentation.
  • Program and configure Network, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems aligned with client requirements.
  • Perform on-site commissioning and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Provide ongoing support to maintain and optimise operational control systems.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Mechatronics, Software, or Computer Engineering.
  • Proven experience working with control systems (typically 3+ years).
  • Hands-on expertise in programming and commissioning PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, or Siemens) and SCADA platforms(e.g., Citect SCADA or FactoryTalk View).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of designing and configuring control system networks.
  • Prior experience in commissioning control systems in mineral processing is highly regarded.
