About The Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care that helps our residents live each day with dignity and joy. You'll follow personalised care plans and offer respectful support with:

  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Daily living tasks and mobility assistance
  • Emotional wellbeing and companionship
  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and positive care environment


What You'll Bring

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Aged Care – or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months experience in an aged care
  • Willing to work Night Shifts
  • A genuine passion for aged care and enhancing quality of life
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A respectful, compassionate, and resident-first approach

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.

As per Eldercare’s Employee Immunisation Policy, all Eldercare employees are required to:

  • Be vaccinated against seasonal influenza by no later than 1 June each year
  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per current ATAGI guidelines


Exemptions on a temporary or permanent basis can only be approved by Eldercare’s Chief Executive.
