In this critical role embedded within our regionally-based Strategic People Partnership Team, you’ll be the first line of contact for our leaders and employees. You’ll be their go-to partner—offering trusted coaching, insight, and support on everything from performance and misconduct matters to business restructuring and change initiatives. As a key connector between line managers and our People Services Team, you’ll ensure our workforce is supported with sound advice and strong HR practices that reflect our values and comply with evolving legislation.
You will navigate complex awards, agreements and policies to guide decisions that balance business need with fair process. Whether it's providing advice on a grievance, advising on a new team structure, or interpreting legislative change, you're not just following procedures. You're shaping how we lead people well.

To be successful, you will bring:
- Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Post secondary qualification in Human Resources such or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience.
- Experience interpreting legislation, regulations, Awards and Industrial Agreements together with policy and procedures to provide high quality and pragmatic HR advice.
- Excellent communication, consulting and interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and proven ability in developing trusted business relationships at all levels to gain support and influence outcomes.
