About The Role
The Digital Marketing Specialist will report to the Manager of Digital Engagement and will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimising, engaging content and campaigns across digital channels.
You’ll need to:
- Build the brand: Dive into the heart of the Brisbane 2032 brand and shape our narrative by producing high-quality and engaging content that will reach a global audience, making a lasting impact on a world stage.
- Connect with audiences: Drive the conversation and create meaningful content to connect with fans, nurture and grow our engaged audiences to prepare for commercialisation opportunities closer to the Games.
- Flourish in a collaborative environment: Join the journey alongside a dynamic and passionate team, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including elite and aspiring athletes), while contributing to an event that celebrates diversity, culture, inclusivity, and opportunity for all.
- Plan, execute, and manage digital content and campaigns across the website and eDM program.
- Develop and manage content for digital channels, including website, and email across copy writing (optimised for SEO), image and video editing.
- Monitor and analyse platform performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite and SEMRush during business as usual and campaign periods.
- Plan, implement and optimise paid campaigns and platform performance based on performance metrics to improve ROI and overarching business goals.
- Brief designers, content creators, creative and media agencies to create effective and efficient content and campaigns for Brisbane 2032’s channels and broader internal teams.
- Communicate and collaborate with Games Delivery Partners to distribute content and key messages to deliver marketing objectives and milestones.
- Advise the business on the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies, related to Brisbane 2032’s business objectives.
- Demonstrated experience supporting digital channels across website, eDM and social channels.
- Experience managing projects from concept through to delivery, including development, execution and analysis.
- Excellent copy writing skills across channels and audiences, including website articles, eDMs, social media posts, and campaign creative.
- Demonstrated understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
- Demonstrated experience planning, implementing and optimising paid campaigns including digital media.
- Experience briefing external agencies for the purposes of content creation and campaign development, i.e. photography, videography, graphic design, website content, social content, campaign management.
- Experience in reporting, analysis and insights to drive continuous improvement across our channels to reach broader business objectives.
- Minimum 6+ years’ professional experience in digital content and marketing campaigns.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with marketing, communications, and executive teams. Supporting other functional areas required including media monitoring and coordinating Brisbane 2032 correspondence.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Canva, with strong technical execution skills.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communication, digital or a related field.
