About the Role

As battlefield environments become more contested, the ability to seamlessly integrate electronic deception capabilities is seen as a critical advantage for defence and national security. Equally with a growing emphasis on coalition operations, there is a need for interoperable, vendor agnostic solutions that support cross-domain mission success, by leveraging expertise from both our AU and UK operations, we seek to develop scalable, modular solutions that meet the evolving needs of our Defence and government customers.


This new role is a pivotal step in driving product leadership, operational effectiveness and strategic growth for the company in the rapidly evolving landscape of electronic deception and tactical communications.


The RF Systems Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end strategy, development, and performance of a suite of RF products. The role demands close collaboration with business development and engineering teams, vendors, and other business stakeholders to ensure each product delivers customer value, supports business goals, and maintains a strong competitive position.


Key responsibilities include managing the full product lifecycle for each product from discovery through to delivery and optimisation, driving an active release cadence to deliver feature roadmaps, fostering visibility into product usage and performance, and scaling product practices across the portfolio. This role also plays a key part in helping to mature product management capabilities across the business, championing best practices, mentoring others, and strengthening product culture.


Skills & Experience

  • Relevant domain-specific knowledge including familiarity with RF principles, RF Hardware and software-defined radio systems, radar systems principles, military deception theory and principles and electronic countermeasures technology and applications
  • Demonstrated experience in systems integration and interoperability such as how military focused RF products integrate with wider electronic warfare and operational systems (including APIs and system interfaces) and system architectures and the ability to assess integration challenges and opportunities.
  • Compliance knowledge such as military-grade communication protocols and standards (eg. NATO, MIL-STD), standards and compliance as applied to military systems and export controls as applied to defence markets.
  • Sound business acumen demonstrated through a deep knowledge of the business landscape, ability to link product direction with broader strategic and financial goals
  • Demonstrated ability to empower product teams and encourage cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Strategic planning skills demonstrated through maintaining an awareness of market, tech and industry trends, defining and communicating product strategies, and balancing long term planning and adaptive iteration.


Qualifications & Eligibility

To be eligible for this position you must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen; and
  • Hold or be able to obtain a Negative Vetting 2 clearance or higher.
  • Tertiary education in degree such as Engineering or other related qualification.
