Site Manager - Tomago BESS Construction Project
Location: Newcastle, NSW
Project: AGL Battery Energy Storage System - Tomago, NSW
Type: Full-time, Site-Based, some weekends expected

At AGL, we're looking for a Site Manager to join client-side for the Tomago BESS construction project. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive safety, quality, and performance across all site activities. You will be running two major contractors as the Principal Site Representative for AGL and report to the Senior Project Manager. You will work closely with Civil and Electrical Engineers, Health, Safety and Environment teams and the broader Construction Renewables Team.

- Champion WHS compliance and lead a safety-first culture both for our people and the environment.
- Oversee and manage contractor performance, schedules, and quality assurance.
- Be the person between contractors, engineers, TNSP, and AGL teams.
- Inspire high performance and continuous improvement across the site team.
- High community engagement through strong relationships with the local stakeholders that support AGL's social license to operate.
- Monitor risks, support workshops, and contribute to monthly reporting.
You're a seasoned construction professional with a passion for safety, collaboration, and delivery excellence. A busy environment doesn't scare you and you know how to bring teams together to achieve great outcomes.
- Experience as a Site Manager or Construction Manager in heavy infrastructure.
- A safety leader and WHS compliant.
- Project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience managing industrialised contractor workforces.
- Engineering or related tertiary qualifications (preferred).
- Project management certification (preferred).
