About The Role
We are seeking a talentedSecurity Engineerto join a leading Australian Systems Integrator with a strong track record in Government and enterprise solutions. This pivotal new role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting secure, cloud-based network and application access solutions for high-profile clients.
Your primary responsibility will involve deploying and configuringZscaler infrastructure, and managing its integration with client environments—spanning identity systems, SIEM tools, mobile device management (MDM), and data centre workloads. You will collaborate closely with client-side stakeholders, including security, networking, and infrastructure teams, to ensure the architecture aligns with business needs and security requirements.
This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver hands-on, high-impact solutions while advancing Zero Trust principles and secure application access. Strong technical acumen, documentation capability, and interpersonal skills are key.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and document current-state customer environments and dependencies.
Design and implement Zscaler solutions that align with Zero Trust and ISM security models.
Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise Zscaler products including ZIA and ZPA.
Develop and maintain technical documentation such as design plans, operational guides, and SOPs.
Conduct client-facing workshops and technical training.
Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
Support project timelines, milestones, and customer deliverables.
Provide post-deployment support and participate in knowledge transfer activities.
Contribute positively to the broader strategy, culture, and reputation of the team.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a network engineering, security consulting, or IT infrastructure role.
Expertise inZscalersolutions (ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler Connectors).
Relevant Certifications In Zscaler And Other Network/security Technologies.
Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, GRE, IPsec.
Experience With Identity Protocols (SAML, OAuth, LDAP, Active Directory).
Proficient with network diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, packet capture).
Familiarity with cloud environments, SD-WAN, VPNs, and proxy/firewall configurations.
Strong Communication And Stakeholder Engagement Skills.
Must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1) at time of commencement.
