The Salvation Army (Salvos) provides a wide range of services that support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.
About The Role
This position is responsible for the operational leadership of family violence outreach and related programs, supporting early intervention, crisis response, and recovery for victim survivors of family violence.
The role plays a key part in leading service delivery, drawing on a strong understanding of internal policies, procedures, and best practices. It includes overseeing specialist family violence case management and recovery services that are child-focused, strength-based, and trauma-informed.
You will provide supervision, practice guidance, and strong operational leadership to the Outreach Case Management team.

You will provide supervision, practice guidance, and strong operational leadership to the Outreach Case Management team.
How You Will Make An Impact
Service Delivery & Practice
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of family violence outreach services.
- Ensure service delivery aligns with internal policies, procedures, and case management guidelines.
- Provide high-level professional leadership, promoting best practice service delivery in line with The Salvation Army’s standards.
- Manage program quality and compliance to meet accreditation requirements.
- Deliver a high-quality, evidence-informed family violence service, demonstrating measurable positive outcomes for women and children.
- Provide direct line management and supervision to Family Violence Practitioners and other team members.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that supports staff development and wellbeing.
- Use service data, evaluation outcomes, and team feedback to inform ongoing improvements.
- Lead and support the implementation and review of practice models and service delivery processes.
- Encourage a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- A degree in Social Work or a related field (essential).
- Demonstrated experience in the family violence sector, including leadership within outreach or residential care settings.
- Proven experience in managing case management services and leading support teams.
- Strong financial and operational management skills, including experience working with service budgets.
