Maintenance Officer - Bull Creek
Permanent, Full Time Opportunity (40hrs per week + 1 RDO a month!)

Join the Retirement Living team at our Air Force Memorial Estate, located in Bull Creek as a Maintenance Officer! This role would see you under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, maintain all relevant internal and external estate buildings, plant and equipment to ensure that all are working in an optimum condition whilst also attending to and completing all maintenance requests in a timely manner.

The resort style facilities enable residents to continue living independently, whilst enjoying their retirement being as relaxed or adventurous as they choose. There is a mixture of 163 retirement living apartments as well as older style units which, over the next ten years, will be replaced with contemporary accommodation apartments.

- Maintain all relevant internal and external estate buildings, plant and equipment to ensure they are working at optimum condition.
- Complete all planned maintenance that is assigned to the onsite maintenance department via the onsite application.
- Attend to all reactive maintenance requests that are assigned via Urbanise within the specified times.
- Promptly attend to or report items/issues requiring attention and respond to general emergencies as required.
- Advise the Maintenance Supervisor of the need for the replacement of damaged or exhausted equipment in units (stoves, hotplates, Hot water units, air conditioners etc) or other significant repair maintenance projects.
- Liaise with external contractors to repair or replace equipment that requires the skill of a qualified tradesperson.
- Cooperate in the implementation of estate projects that fall within the scope of the job role.
- Assist with general maintenance duties in common areas and/or residential units as required.
- Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors.

About You
- Significant experience in general repairs and maintenance of structures, plant and equipment.
- Skilled in operating and servicing a wide variety of machinery and equipment.
- Great communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a small team environment.
- Extensive Workplace Health and Safety knowledge.
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills

- Have a National "C" Class Drivers Licence
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one
