About The Role

Are you ready to take your analytical skills to the next level and make a real impact at AGL? We’re looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Credit and Affordability team, supporting financial management and commercial analysis across our retail customer base on a 12 month fixed term opportunity.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team that manages over $8 billion annually across 4 million customer services, helping shape the future of collections and affordability at AGL. This role will offer you the chance to work on high-impact projects, contribute to strategic decision-making, and grow your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead EBIT planning with a focus on net bad debt expense and operational expenditure.
  • Develop business cases and conduct commercial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities using Power BI and SQL, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting through financial modelling and scenario planning.
  • Promote commercial acumen and efficiency across the Credit and Affordability team.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a strategic, commercial, or analytical role within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong data manipulation and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with or strong knowledge of SQL and Power BI report development.
