CHOICE is looking to hire a Mobilisation Campaigner to engage over 200,000 supporters to protect the interests of Australian consumers through engaging, high-impact digital campaigns and political communications.

About The Role

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Campaigns and Communications, you will work closely with Campaigns and Communications and support all our campaigns at pivotal strategic points in time, developing and executing effective tactics that engage supporters to win these campaigns alongside the campaign lead.

You’ll also run your own targeted, strategic, short-term engagement-focussed campaigns on important, topical issues in order to deliver quick wins for consumers.

  • Develops and implements the overarching mobilisation strategy and campaign strategies to engage supporters for impact
  • Provides mobilisation and supporter engagement expertise for campaign strategies and content strategies across CHOICE
  • Monitors media, legislative and regulatory developments affecting consumers to identify advocacy opportunities to engage supporters for impact.

  • Strong written communication skills, particularly words that inspire people to take action
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions
  • Experience developing engagement strategies and managing projects preferred
  • Experience building basic web pages and sending electronic direct mail preferred
  • Proficiency with creating basic design assets for websites, emails and social media
  • Working knowledge of consumer issues and laws in Australia, or proven ability to get across complex policy quickly
