A great opportunity

As a Duty manager, your role will involve:

  • Having the keys to the castle! You'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations across the entire club and leading our team in exceptional customer service and hospitality.
  • Creating memorable experiences for our customers including problem solving complex operational issues and conflict management
  • Building relationship with our close-knit team of 20+ on site and our wider team of over 400, being an ambassador for the club's vision and values, embedding them in the everyday for our people
  • Lead the team on every shift including task allocation, organising breaks and coverage in all areas, monitoring and responding to service levels and service quality.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, development and performance feedback to all team members, including managing performance concerns, recognising exceptional performance, and supporting training and onboarding.
  • Fostering strong communication and alignment amongst the leadership team
  • Implement and champion change as part of a progressive and evolving organisation 
  • Daily reporting requirements including providing insight into fluctuations in wages, wastage, stock and other cost contributors
  • Comply with the Club’s policies and procedures (eg. RSA/RCG, AML/CTF, safe food handing, hygiene standards)
  • Working in a rotating roster across all operating hours
  • Project work from time to time

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 12 months experience in leading and managing diverse teams with varying levels of experience within the hospitality industry. Experience with gaming is a must. 
  • Confidence to work independently and think on your feet to resolve issues and to manage tricky situations, remaining calm under pressure
  • Eagerness to get involved and learn a variety of skills across multiple areas – skills that will benefit you throughout your leadership career
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication with team and customers, including formal documentation and ability to have the ‘difficult’ conversations
  • Strong digital experience including Office and proficiency in industry specific software
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver agreed outcomes, targets, KPIs, both personally and for your team
  • Exhibit a caring approach with a high degree of discretion, integrity and confidentiality, and high standard of personal presentation
  • Knowledge of club operations and governing legislation
  • Flexibility and availability across the operating hours of the club (8am-4am) 
  • Current RSA, RCG and ARCG certificates (required)
  • Current First Aid certificate (preferred)
