About the Role - As a Category Manager for NORMA Pacific, you'll be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that help customers thrive. Under the guidance of our Head of Sales, you'll oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception to commercialization whilst continuing to evolve our existing categories through range extensions, promotional activities and providing the necessary technical support.

Responsibilities

Strategic Category Planning – Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Identify growth opportunities within the category through market analysis and consumer insights.

Product Life Cycle Management – Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from introduction to phase-out, ensuring optimal product mix.

Promotional Activities – Working with all departments to release effective promotions, analysing, and reacting to market and product trends, analysing, and reacting to inventory requirements.

Marketing Collateral – Working with the Marketing Coordinator to produce and maintain brochures, catalogues & tech data sheets. Review and maintain all online information including company websites as well as customers.

Inventory & Demand Planning Support - Collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.

Event Management – Collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator to determine appropriate products for display at trade shows and event-specific product promotions, product samples, merchandising and general stand presentation.

Sales Liaison – Provide product knowledge, sales tools, and training to enhance sales effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following: -

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role preferably with Water Management industry.
  • Demonstrable experience in new product development and its successful launch into the market.
  • Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining highly successful relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
  • Demonstrable experience in successful project management – both as a leader and as a team member.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a challenging workload and meeting deadlines, occasionally at short notice to meet business needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly defined analytical skills, appropriate to level/role.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • A high level of problem solving and initiative e.g., able to review and recommend changes to existing processes and procedures (the ability to think laterally and business wide).


IT Skills:

  • Excel and PowerPoint– Intermediate to Expert
  • All other MS Office software – Intermediate
  • Previous experience of working with Deltamaster, Microsoft CRM and Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be highly regarded.
