- This position will provide realistic and real-world command chain actions and reactions of the synthetic events they are involved in, in order to assist with the training of Customer personnel to achieve maritime warfare training outcomes. The position requires the incumbent to have generalist skills in order to act as a role player, professional interactor.
- Provide tactically accurate blue-force and/or red-force professional interactor functions and demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- ADF tactics, doctrine and procedures
- Anti-submarine warfare (ASW) tactics and procedures
- Anti-air warfare (AAW) tactics and procedures
- Anti-surface (ASuW) warfare tactics and procedures
- Electronic Warfare (EW) tactics and procedures
- Air Space management
- Naval Gunfire Support and joint fire missions
- Execute and coordinate synthetic training events
- Provide realistic and real-world command-chain actions and reactions for synthetic events
- Provide input to exercise related pre and post-event documentation
- Minimum Security Clearance of NV1
- Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System
- Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
- Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations
- Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures
- Other duties as required
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Assist in the delivery of structured training programmes
- Display personal and professional skills and display the ability to build sound stakeholder relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
- Problem solving skills
- Be eligible to access ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) information.
- Have knowledge of current ADF Simulation doctrine, tactics and procedures
- Experience working in a military training environment
- comprehension and use of military/RAN voice procedures
- Combat System Operator experience or equivalent
- RAAF experience as Air Warfare specialist
- Understanding of the application and conduct of training systems, exercise development, military communications and C2 systems.
- Must be able to work effectively and uphold professional standards and confidentiality with Cubic internal and external customers as well as staff at all levels of the organisation.
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and as part of a matrix team, unsupervised, and be recognized by their peers as inspirational and the “go-to” person for solving problems.
- Able to juggle multiple tasks with deftness and attention to deadlines.
- An enthusiasm for new technologies and their application for both business and consumers.
