Morning Flexi Carer – Full Time (On-Call)

SAI Home and Community

At SAI Home and Community, we support older people and people with disability to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. We work across South East Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula and we take pride in building strong, respectful relationships with both our clients and our team.

We’re looking for a full-time Morning Flexi Carer to join our team.

About the role

This is a fast-moving role that suits someone who enjoys variety, works well under pressure and wants to be relied on as a key part of the team.

As our Morning Flexi Carer, you’ll be on-call to cover short-notice shifts between 6am and 2pm, Monday to Friday. Some days you’ll receive your shift details just after 6am. On other days, your shifts may be arranged up to 24 hours in advance. This role is all about stepping in when needed most and making sure no client goes without support.

You’ll be based in Frankston or Langwarrin and you’ll travel to clients within a 30-minute radius. This may include suburbs like Rosebud, Brighton, Clyde North and surrounding areas.

You’ll support clients with day-to-day tasks such as:

  • Personal care like showering, dressing or grooming
  • Driving clients to appointments or errands
  • Light housework like dishes, laundry or tidying
  • Basic meal prep and grocery shopping
  • Providing friendly company and social support

Most clients receive aged care or NDIS support and live in their own homes.

What makes this role a great opportunity

  • Your work is varied and genuinely makes a difference
  • You start early and finish early, so your afternoons are free
  • You’re part of a trusted team and your reliability matters
  • You have the security of full-time hours in a caring environment

What we offer

  • A permanent full-time position with consistent hours
  • A fixed morning shift pattern from 6am to 2pm
  • Paid kilometre reimbursement and training time
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated team leader
  • A down-to-earth team that values your time and contribution

What you’ll need

  • A caring nature and willingness to help others
  • Strong communication and time management
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability (required)
  • First Aid and CPR certificates
  • A current driver’s licence, your own car and comprehensive insurance (required)
  • Willingness to complete a Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check

If you’re someone who takes pride in being dependable and wants a role where your work really matters, we’d love to hear from you.
