We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Terminal Interface Manager to join our Aviation team.
The Terminal Interface Manager is responsible for the design, development & delivery of business improvements across all Aviation Operations facilities projects including innovative product development, infrastructure projects, process & systems improvements, service enhancements and people change projects. The Interface Manager provides the operational project interface across all Aviation Operations facilities projects including Capital Projects. The role will work with the Technology Business Partner, Development Manager, Project Manager, Consultants, and wider project team from initiation through to the delivery. As the accountable leader and representing the aviation business unit you will lead engagement with both internal and external parties and build a strong partnership approach with our airline customers. You will champion the traveler experience and operational outcomes to ensure the right solution is delivered at the right time to meet the business need now and into the future.

Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Business & Product Improvements
- Develop & deliver business improvements across Aviation Operations including processes, systems, people and infrastructure projects from inception, business case development, funding & approvals to delivery and go live ensuring ORAT activities successfully completed.
Project Interface
- Manage the delivery of an efficient and effective Aviation Capital Project (key focus on system and technology solutions) from design to delivery & go live to enhance the traveller and operator experience.
- Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement & sign offs and meet cost effective operational requirements with cost effective technology solutions.
- Ensure that the development and implementation of aviation capital projects are supported by asset/system policies and procedures that maximise the long-term impact for the customer, meet compliance requirements and delivery cost efficiency on an ongoing basis.
Operational Readiness
- Manage the consistent delivery of ORAT (Operational Readiness Activation and Transition) for technology projects in relation customer impact, regulatory requirements, readiness, cost, and compliance across Operational scope of the project.
- Ensure development of ORAT plan and effective execution of the plan.
- Manage the effective transition of systems into live environments and successful handover to business operating teams.
Reputational Management & Risk Mitigation
- Manage the operational readiness interface of Operations projects as the Operations SME across Aviation
Operations (Terminal, Airfield & Systems)
- Ensure compliance and risk mitigation perspective ensuring mitigation through design, construction, delivery and ORAT with appropriate stakeholder engagement and sign off.
Stakeholder Management
- Deliver the stakeholder management and communications strategy for relevant Aviation technology projects and go live of systems.
- Ensuring all stakeholders focus on the customer, safety, timescales, and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholder group both internal and external.
Policy and Process
- Ensure that the development and implementation of technology projects, process and operational improvement initiatives are supported by appropriate policy and procedures to maximise their impact for the customer, meet operational/compliance and asset management requirements and deliver cost efficiency on an ongoing basis.
- Policy creation to drive system performance and output.
- Manage and understand current state to design and implement future end state processes.
Airport Emergency Response Preparedness
- Fully understand role in relation to the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) and Crisis Management Plan (CMP),
- ensuring training is up to date and capable to enact responsibilities. Enacts responsibilities when required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in project management and delivery
- Strong background in passenger facilitation technology and operational systems
- A strong knowledge and experience within the Aviation industry with a focus on airport operations or airline customer/operations delivery and strategy
- Experience in fast paced, highly complex operational environment where new assets/infrastructure are being developed and delivered alongside existing operations
- Proven ability to lead large scale projects from initiation to completion
- Proven experience with Contract Management in an operating environment
- At least three years in managerial role
- At least five years in the aviation industry
