The Opportunity

This is a foundational and highly impactful opportunity for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join at ground zero and design the data infrastructure that will power transformation across the healthcare portfolio. You’ll work directly with senior leaders and portfolio company executives, helping solve real operational problems like rostering, capacity planning, and reporting accuracy.

You’ll be responsible for designing the entire data pipeline—from ingestion to visualization—with the autonomy to choose modern tools and technologies. The business is committed to hiring more data talent over time, and you’ll play a key role in shaping and leading that team.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Health industry experience
  • 7-12 years of data engineering experience, ideally in a scaling or high growth environment (start up experience highly preferred)
  • Strong Python, SQL, and cloud engineering skills (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Ability to build data infrastructure and reporting systems from scratch
  • Demonstrated experience working hands on - not just in oversight or architecture roles
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clinicians, operators and non technical stakeholders
  • Entreperneurial mindset - someone who thrives in environments with minimal strucutre and high autonomy
  • Healthcare sector exposure is highly desirable - particularly in primary care or clinic settings
  • Comfortable managing third party vendors and evaluating external technology solutions
  • Growth mindset
