The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and commercially-minded Business Development Manager to help drive growth within the Public Sector across NSW.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Business Development and Solutions teams to identify new opportunities, nurture relationships with public sector clients, and support the end-to-end sales process. You’ll be contributing to meaningful digital transformation projects that support better outcomes for local councils, state government departments, and public institutions.
This is a great next step for someone with 2–5 years’ B2B sales experience who’s ready to specialise in the public sector space and grow their capability within a supportive, high-performing team.
The Person
You’ve got a solid foundation in sales, business development or account management—ideally in a B2B or tech-adjacent environment—and are now looking for the next step in your career.
You’re curious, organised and commercially aware. You’re confident speaking with clients, comfortable managing a pipeline, and ready to learn how government organisations buy and engage with technology partners.

What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Generation & Qualification:
- Research and identify new opportunities within NSW public sector organisations
- Proactively reach out to potential clients and qualify inbound leads
- Support meetings, briefings and early-stage relationship-building across public sector accounts
- Build familiarity with client needs and strategic priorities
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, tender responses, and client presentations
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and contribute to pipeline and activity reporting
- Develop your knowledge of NSW Government procurement, frameworks, and sales cycles
- Learn about Logicalis’ full portfolio of services, including cloud, security, connectivity, and collaboration
- 2–5 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development or account support (experience with tech, IT, or government clients a plus)
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders via email, phone and face-to-face meetings
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- An interest in public sector or purpose-driven industries
- Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite
- A growth mindset and the desire to build a long-term sales career
- A degree in Business, IT, Communications or similar is helpful, but not essential.
