Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for maternity care and a curiosity about midwifery? This is your opportunity to explore a new direction in your nursing career with the support and guidance of an exceptional team.
Epworth Freemasons is offering a 6-month Midwifery Introduction to Specialty Practice Program, commencing early August, designed especially for RNs with a minimum of two years’ acute clinical experience. If you’ve ever considered becoming a midwife but weren’t sure where to start, this supported pathway could be your next step.
You’ll work in the postnatal area of our leading maternity unit, collaborating closely with experienced midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team. Through structured learning, hands-on clinical experience, and mentorship from our Clinical Midwifery Educators, you’ll build foundational skills and confidence in providing postnatal care within your RN scope of practice.
Those who successfully complete the program will be prioritised for a supported postgraduate course in Midwifery.

- Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
