Senior Finance Advisor B2C

We’re looking for a commercially focused Senior Finance Advisor to partner with the Powershop business and help shape the next phase of growth in Australia’s residential energy market.

In this high-impact role, you’ll operate as a strategic finance advisor and business partner, embedding yourself with the Commercial team to influence decisions, support revenue and customer growth, and lead the finance workstream on a key transformation program.

With respect, integrity and honesty, responsibilities include:

• Partner with Commercial Strategy and Data teams to provide financial insights that drive unit margins, customer volumes, sales and retention.
• Lead the forecasting, planning, and performance analysis for the Powershop business.
• Play a pivotal role in the B2C Energy Transition program, leading the Finance stream of a retail billing platform migration to Kaluza.
• Support month-end financial reporting and variance analysis in collaboration with Financial Control.
• Provide finance input into strategic initiatives and acquisition opportunities, ensuring value and risk are fully considered.
• Identify financial risks and compliance issues for referral to subject matter experts across tax, accounting, and regulation.

What you’ll bring

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

• Proven experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering ideally within the B2C energy sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business decisions.
• Experience working with (or supporting transformation of) energy retail billing platforms.
• A collaborative and practical mindset with the confidence to influence across senior stakeholder groups.
• CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with a relevant tertiary degree in Finance, Commerce or Accounting.
