What the role looks like

Reporting to the Manager Systems & Delivery, you will support investment systems integration and oversight, with a strong focus on performance and risk analytics as a key contributor in the following areas:

• Leading the development and ongoing operation of the investment analytics function, including the selection, integration, and continuous management of performance analytics and risk systems
• Making a significant contribution to the integration of Custodian data, Investment Data Management platforms and other external providers into analytics systems to enhance reporting for front office oversight, governance, and regulatory compliance
• Developing, integrating and managing systems and models to deliver comprehensive investment risk and performance analytics
• Developing and producing reports and analytics, providing insights on key investment metrics including risk factors, return drivers, volatility, correlation, and tracking error
• Liaising with external stakeholders of systems and analytics providers, to ensure seamless integration with internal capabilities where applicable
• Developing systems and reporting frameworks to evaluate investment return drivers against relevant benchmarks and the Your Future, Your Super (YFYS) performance test
• Contributing to the preparation of reporting for Board, Investment Committee and internal Management; including generating quantitative analytical content and preparation of qualitative analysis and insights
• Supporting the delivery of reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and Fund Policies and frameworks.

Who Are We Looking For?

We’re on the lookout for passionate individuals who embody our values. If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in investment analytics, including performance attribution and investment risk assessment
• Deep experience with investment analytics systems and platforms, including set-up and operation
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collegiate approach and the ability to work independently
• Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, capable of working productively and cohesively within a small team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Comprehensive understanding of the superannuation industry, particularly investments within superannuation
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Experience in developing interactive Power BI dashboards
• Extensive experience in a relevant function at superannuation fund or similar asset owner
• Relevant tertiary qualifications with post-graduate or industry accreditations viewed favourably
